Who is responsible for your data

EDMONT is the controller of the personal data submitted through the forms on this site: we determine the purposes for which it is processed and the means by which that is done.

All correspondence about data protection, including requests to exercise the rights set out below, should be sent to us by email. We acknowledge every such request and respond within the period set out in section 07. The controller’s full registration details are supplied on written request to the same address.

What we collect

When you complete the enquiry form we may collect your name, your preferred contact method and the corresponding details (telephone number or messenger handle), information about your education and study goals, the countries and programmes you are considering, and anything further you choose to write in the open fields.

The forms on this site do not request or store payment details, passport or identity document numbers, or any special category data as defined in Article 9 of the GDPR. Please do not submit such information through the site.

Why we need it and on what basis

We use this information for one purpose: to contact you, understand your educational situation and discuss which form of admissions support fits it. We do not use it for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making.

The lawful basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, given when you tick the consent box before sending the form. Where a conversation leads to an engagement, we continue to process the same data on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of that contract.

Providing the data is voluntary. It is, however, the only way we can respond to an enquiry: without contact details we cannot reply.

Who receives your data

Form submissions are delivered by email directly to the EDMONT team. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes.

Two categories of processor handle the data on our behalf: the hosting provider that operates this website and delivers the form, and the email provider through which we receive and answer enquiries. Where an engagement begins and an application is prepared, documents are submitted to the universities and application services you have chosen — but only with your knowledge and at your instruction.

Where your data is processed

EDMONT operates from Russia, and the hosting and email infrastructure used for this site is located there. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, your data is therefore transferred outside that area to a country for which the European Commission has not issued an adequacy decision.

That transfer takes place on the basis of your explicit consent under Article 49(1)(a) of the GDPR, given when you submit the form. You should be aware that the level of protection for personal data in the destination country may not be equivalent to that guaranteed within the EEA, and that enforcing your rights there may be more difficult. You may withdraw this consent at any time, as described below.

Analytics and cookies

This site may use analytics services to understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and read it. These services can set cookies and receive technical information that is not linked to your identity: device type, browser, referring page and the pages viewed.

Analytics cookies are set only where you have agreed to them. Nothing you write in a form is passed to an analytics service. Strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the site to function, are set without consent, as data protection law permits.

How long we keep it

Enquiry data is kept for as long as the conversation about your admission remains live, and for no longer than twenty-four months after the last contact, unless an engagement has begun. Where an engagement has begun, the data is kept for the duration of the agreement and for the period afterwards required by accounting and limitation rules.

If you withdraw consent or ask us to erase the data, we do so promptly and, in any case, within one month.

Access, correction and erasure

You have the right to ask what data we hold about you and to receive a copy of it; to have inaccurate data corrected; to have your data erased; to restrict or object to its processing; and to receive the data you gave us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or to have it sent to another controller where that is technically feasible.

Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of anything done before it.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us by email. We respond within one month.

If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you are entitled to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in the country where you live or work. Contacting us first is not a precondition, but it is usually the fastest way to resolve the matter.
