01 About the bureau

EDMONT provides one-to-one admissions support in international education

EDMONT is a European education consultancy. We provide one-to-one support with applications to universities across Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and China, from choosing a programme through to enrolment and the visa.

We build an admissions strategy around one student: from the choice of country and programme to preparing a strong profile, submitting the application, enrolment and support with the visa.

Scholarships and funding

We work on scholarships, bursaries and grants, and on how a place is funded. We assess the options available and build them into the admissions strategy while the universities are still being chosen.

The agreement and refunds

We work under a written agreement, and our terms are open. All services, deadlines and obligations are fixed in the agreement. Where a service that has been paid for has not been provided, we refund the fee for that service on the terms set out in the signed agreement.

Admissions support built
around the student

Every application begins not with a list of universities but with the student. We bring academic goals, personal strengths and what is realistically open to you together into one strategy.

We work with public and private universities alike. One consultant coordinates the whole process – from choosing a subject through to the visa – while specialists in each area strengthen your documents, your portfolio and your funding applications.

Europe

The European route

Our main focus is universities in Europe. We compare the education systems, choose academically strong programmes and build a strategy that takes account of a particular country’s requirements, its application deadlines and the funding available.

United States · USA

The American route

For students who value a flexible education system, interdisciplinary programmes and the range of international opportunities. We assess the profile, build a balanced college list and set a separate strategy for each application.

Academic English

Where necessary, we bring in a specialist English tutor: for IELTS preparation, for academic English and for meeting the requirements of your chosen university.

Interview preparation is one-to-one with a UK-based tutor who is a native speaker of English: speaking practice, pronunciation, talking about yourself confidently and practice with the questions a university asks.

For Italian-taught programmes, a specialist Italian tutor from the EDMONT team can be brought into the admissions process. Preparation is built around the student’s current level, the requirements of the chosen programme and the application timeline.

How to Apply to Universities Abroad in 2027: Deadlines, Requirements and Funding

The 2027 admissions cycle is already under way, but there is no single international deadline. The United States, the UK, Italy and China read school qualifications, academic fit, tests and funding differently. Start by checking whether your qualification opens a route, then assess the profile and budget before building a shortlist.

Moving to Canada as a family: who is actually allowed to work while the student studies

The assumption that a spouse will come along and work held for most families until recently. Since 21 January 2025 it holds for only some of them, and what decides it is neither the family's wishes nor its savings but the level and the exact designation of the programme the student was admitted to. The difference between a sixteen-month master's and a twelve-month master's is, here, the family's second income.

In the United States a committee selects you, in the United Kingdom a supervisor's agreement often comes first, and across much of continental Europe you answer a salaried vacancy. The model decides where to start, what to write and when.
